The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice (Attendance Assistant) to join our busy Attendance Team. The successful candidate will work part‑time, 37 hours a week during term time with one additional week. This developmental role supports the teaching and learning provision across the Academy, acting as a first point of contact for parents and carers.

Duties include:

  • Maintaining the main school attendance register
  • Ensuring statutory and policy compliance
  • Performing general administrative tasks for the Academy Office team
  • Reporting to the Attendance Manager

The post-holder will complete a Business Administration (Level 2/3) apprenticeship, which incorporates course fees, paid study leave and the opportunity to apply learning in day‑to‑day work. The ideal candidate will possess strong team‑working skills, be able to work independently, pay close attention to detail, and have a keen interest in developing a career in administration. Communication skills across a range of media – face to face, telephone and written – are essential.
