The Role
City Academy Norwich seeks to appoint a pro‑active and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to take responsibility for groups or classes of students in the short‑term absence of their usual teacher. This role is a great opportunity to gain classroom‑based experience for those interested in a potential career in teaching. Previous post holders have gone on to train and achieve QTS and have found the Cover Supervisor role invaluable in their career paths.
Key responsibilities
- Cover lessons for teaching staff in their absence.
- Accompany pupils on trips away from the school.
- Assist in the invigilation of examinations and tests.
- Supervise pupils around the school when they are not in class.
- Support general school administration when demand for cover is low.
