The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring all school areas and spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the College., A non-exhaustive list of specific responsibilities for the role is below and you will be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.,
Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas (communal areas, dormitories, stairwells and corridors) are cleaned within the allocated times to high standard including;
- Vacuuming, damp mopping, scrubbing and buffing (inc carpet shampooing/deep cleaning during College holidays);
- Cleaning/dusting all furniture, fixtures and fittings;
- Cleaning all sanitary fittings;
- Assist lettings in the preparation of the boarding houses during non-term time for conferences and events. ALL AREAS
- Emptying bins and removing rubbish; taking to allocated point;
- Check that your area is safe before leaving;
- Adhere to all cleaning schedules and encourage others to do the same;
- Ensure cleaning cupboards are kept tidy;
- Maintaining cleanliness of cloths and mops;
- Reporting any problems/damages via CISS;
- Promoting Health & Safety within your area;
- Undertake any other reasonable duty as may be delegated;
The post-holder will be required to comply with the Trust Code of Conduct. The post holder will have access to and be responsible for confidential information and documentation. They must ensure confidential or sensitive material is handled appropriately and accurately. The post holder shall participate in the Trust s programme of Performance Management and Continuing Professional Development.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred, but we do offer on site training for the right person
- Attention for detail

- Someone who can work in a team or by themselves.
