Sapiens is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Reinsurance and Specialty insurance markets - a key role at the heart of our European P&C division. In this role, you’ll drive strategic growth, elevate platform adoption, and unlock new value through cloud migration, cross‑sell opportunities and incremental upgrades - all while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to shape the future of their P&C operations.

About The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of P&C Sales (Europe), your key duties will include:
- The “up-sell” and “cross-sell” to existing Property & Casualty (P&C) customers for Reinsurance and Specialty insurance markets.
- Ensuring that customers are fully aware of the entirety of the Sapiens Insurance Platform capabilities in P&C.
- Cross-selling existing customers to the Sapiens SaaS model, delivered in the Cloud as a Service on a 3 to 5-year term basis.
- Ensuring our customers benefit from the use of the current (latest) versions of Sapiens software through incremental upgrades by articulating the benefits of the new features and selling the services to provide the upgrade.
- Identifying new opportunities within existing customers, creating winning proposals, managing the estimating process, and driving thought-leadership into the customer accounts.
- Strategic account plans should be produced detailing their strategy, business, people and alignment to Sapiens’s people and propositions.
- Accurately forecasting and tracking new sales opportunities including coordinating the internal stakeholders to support the up-sell/cross-sell.
Key skills & requirements:
Essential
- 5 years or more experience directly involved in software sales to the P&C insurance sector.
- An understanding of the Reinsurance and Specialty insurance marketplace in the UK & Europe.
- Previous experience of sales and the implementation of software solutions to the insurance industry.
- Core insurance PAS knowledge.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A can-do attitude and the ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to engage effectively at CxO level.
Desirable
- New Logo hunting experience.
- Wider European insurance market knowledge and experience.
- Experience of data intelligence and exposure management solutions and requirements.
Ideal Qualifications/education
Minimum A-level educated (preferably degree level) or equivalent experience.
