Sapiens is hiring a Sales Director - Reinsurance to help shape the future of cloud‑based insurance technology. This is a rare opportunity for a proven SaaS sales leader to own and grow a high‑value reinsurance portfolio, driving new logos and expanding complex, multi‑million‑pound enterprise deals.
Working model: Remote (within UK)
About the role … As an experienced SaaS sales professional, you will be responsible for:
- Achieving annual quotas for all products, particularly focused on Reinsurance clients.
- Generating incremental sales within customer base and new logos.
- Undertaking and being accountable for necessary lead generation activities to drive penetration of target organisations.
- Drawing on resources from business development, marketing and partners as needed to achieve this goal.
- Accurately assessing and qualifying opportunities to ensure sales effort and resource is expended effectively.
- The development and execution of the sales strategy.
- Driving the sales process through each stage of the sales cycle including Qualification, Develop, Solution and Prove through to Close.
- Managing pre‑sales resources to develop compelling business cases to justify investment in Sapiens’ solutions.
- Engaging and working confidently with Senior Business management and 'C' level executives, to progress sales opportunities.
- Managing key stakeholders within allocated clients through regular review meetings/contact.
- Producing accurate monthly forecasts of pending business to enable sales management to consolidate accurate forecasts.
- Acting as a professional ambassador for Sapiens, communicating company ethos to prospects and customers.
- Attending seminars, exhibitions and trade shows as required.
- Ensuring the processing of effective business in accordance with the company’s Compensation Plan.
- Developing internal relationships to ensure that effective internal communication is achieved and maintained.
Your profile:
- Extensive sales management experience within the insurance market - ideally reinsurance exposure.
- Proven track record of closing high value deals (£1M+) as well as growing sustainable revenues within client base.
- Proven track record working for a Born‑in‑the‑Cloud or Cloud‑Native technology company, ideally within SaaS, insurance platforms, digital transformation, or cloud‑based ecosystems.
- Practical experience of dealing at ‘C’ level (presentations to and relationships with).
- General business understanding of Insurance, including the technology and platforms available.
- Knowledge of Application Outsourcing and experience of selling these types of solutions would be an advantage.
- Ability to lead and guide a pre‑sales team to successful business wins.
- Understanding of a consultative selling approach, able to work with colleagues within the client’s buyer network and craft solutions that will provide business benefits.
- Understanding of how projects are planned and executed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work as a team leader (for scope and approach) as well as a team member (excellent influencing and communication skills and able to display tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations).
- Results orientated, who gets things done, sometimes in the face of adversity.
- Willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
