Sapiens is on the lookout for a Technical Team Lead. If you're a Technical Team Lead and ready to take your career to new heights with an established, globally successful company, this role could be the perfect fit.
Location/Working Model: Hybrid (London)/Remote (UK)
What you'll do:
You're a hands-on tech leader who loves hard engineering problems - not just sprint ceremonies. You want to own an architecture, ship real product, and grow a team around you. As a Senior Tech Lead in the Digital R&D Group, you will lead the design and delivery of our digital products. We're building a next-generation low-code / no-code platform - think visual workflow designers, drag-and-drop form builders, rule engines, and real-time execution layers, all at SaaS scale. This role requires a real passion for technology, the ability to dive deep into our platforms, and hands-on practice to continuously push them forward. The team is global. The tech is modern. And the impact is global.
What to Have for this position:
- Core experience (required):
- 7+ years as a Full Stack Developer, with 3+ years in a technical lead or senior architect role
- 5+ years building React frontend web applications - you know the ecosystem deeply, not just the basics
- 3+ years of backend web development in Node.js
- Deep knowledge and experience with JavaScript and TypeScript; you write code you're proud of
- Experience with Databases - MongoDB
- Deep knowledge of software architecture design and REST API
- Experience owning your code quality by writing tests, automation, and monitoring dashboards
- Strong object-oriented design and development capabilities
- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in SaaS, multi-tenant, or cloud-native environments - Must
- You come from a born-in-the-cloud company - your baseline is cloud-first thinking, not cloud migration. This is a must.
What will set you apart:
- Experience working in a foundation/platform team - building for other engineers
- Experience designing and implementing drag-and-drop builders (e.g., visual editors, form builders, workflow designers)
- Experience building end-to-end low-code / no-code platforms, including visual modeling, rule engines, and runtime execution layers
Personal skills:
- A leader who still loves to code - you lead by doing, not just reviewing
- Team player, innovative and creative, able to see the 'big picture' and take part in shaping the product
- Passionate with a strong interest in staying current with industry trends and techniques
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and Polish
Why join us:
- We build a cloud-native SaaS platform used by leading financial institutions across Europe and beyond - tackling some of the most complex business logic, data models, and workflow challenges in enterprise software, and we're modernising all of it.
- Real engineering influence - your architecture decisions will ship to production globally
- Modern, well-funded tech stack with room to evolve it
- A growing team with strong engineering identity - a centre of excellence, not a satellite office
- Remote-friendly, flexible working culture
- Competitive compensation, benefits, and genuine career growth
If this sounds like the challenge you've been waiting for, we'd love to hear from you!
