Sapiens is hiring a Deal Desk Manager to play a pivotal role in enabling disciplined, efficient, and scalable deal governance across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to step up and help scale our revenue engine. Sitting within the broader Revenue Operations (RevOps) function, the role reports to the Head of Revenue Operations and acts as a senior commercial partner to the Sales organisation and Legal, ensuring that complex deals are structured, reviewed, and escalated in line with commercial, pricing, contractual guardrails, and compliance standards.

You will support all new business, with heightened focus on non-standard, high value and strategically important opportunities, owning deal/lifecycle governance. The role combines strong commercial judgement, analytical rigour, and regular exposure to senior leadership, helping balance revenue growth with risk management, margin protection, and long-term customer value.

Working closely with Pricing, Planning, Finance, and Sales Operations you will contribute to the continuous improvement of deal governance processes, tools, and enablement, with high levels of autonomy. The role plays an important part in driving consistency, transparency, and accountability across the end-to-end deal lifecycle, supporting enterprise-wide commercial change and RevOps' broader mission to scale revenue performance effectively and sustainably.

This role is suited to an ambitious mid-career professional, looking to play a central role in the new deals process and drive significant organisational change. The role is a bridge from management positions, offering wide step-up opportunities to accelerate career development, including supporting junior colleagues, and engaging independently with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day operational execution of deal governance, ensuring opportunities progress through the sales process with appropriate review, documentation, and approvals.
  • Act as the central point of contact for non-standard and complex deals, providing clear commercial guidance to sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Review deal structures in detail, assessing pricing, discounts, and non-price terms to ensure alignment with approved commercial policy and governance guardrails.
  • Coordinate Deal Desk materials tailored to leadership audiences, ensuring decision-makers have clear, accurate, and well-calibrated feedback to support effective sign-off.
  • Facilitate Deal Desk discussions and sign-off forums as required; articulating risks, trade-offs, and commercial implications to support informed decisions and alignment across functions.
  • Work closely with Pricing, Finance, Account Planning, Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure opportunities meet minimum standards.
  • Identify recurring deal issues, policy gaps, or process inefficiencies and champion continuous improvement in the new business sales process.
  • Produce clear and consistent Deal Desk reporting to provide visibility of deal activity, turnaround times, exceptions, and sign-off trends.
  • Provide informal coaching and guidance to junior analysts, supporting consistent application of deal governance standards across the RevOps team.
Experience/skills required
  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial governance, Deal Desk, revenue operations, or sales operations, with a track record of strategic insight and commercial acumen in enterprise software sales enablement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales, pricing, finance, and legal teams, influencing key stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and resolving emerging challenges in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven experience producing leadership-ready materials, analysis, and reporting to complex information; using standard industry tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word; Power BI is a bonus).
  • Exposure to pricing models, discounting, contract terms, and commercial constructs typical of enterprise and mid-market B2B software, especially Software as a Service models.
  • Experience working within a born-in-the-cloud software company, with strong familiarity in cloud-native commercial models and SaaS deal structures.
