Sapiens is hiring a Director of PS Operations & Delivery - a role at the heart of our Professional Services function. You’ll own the operational and strategic engine that powers delivery excellence across the Business Unit: setting the standard for performance visibility, financial discipline, and scalable process while acting as a trusted advisor. This is a role for someone who thinks strategically, executes with precision, and knows how to bring others along with them. If you’re ready to shape how a high-performing PS function runs - and grows - we’d love to hear from you.
Location: London - WC2 (Flexible Hybrid working model)
More About the Role
As Director of PS Operations & Delivery, you will define and drive the operational foundations that enable the Professional Services function to scale with confidence. You’ll lead cross-functional alignment, own performance and financial governance, and champion the process improvements that make the whole team more effective. This is a role that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution - equally comfortable shaping long-term direction and rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You’ll carry real influence with senior stakeholders and, as the function grows, build and lead a team of your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Thought Partnership
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the PS Lead, bringing structured thinking to operational and business challenges.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Delivery, Finance, Sales, and other functions – facilitating decision-making with clarity and confidence.
- Lead ad hoc strategic analysis and insight generation for PS leadership and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the PS function’s longer-term planning and organisational direction.
- Own financial performance oversight across the PS portfolio, working in close partnership with Finance.
- Direct resource allocation and capacity planning across the BU to ensure delivery health and margin integrity.
- Maintain rigorous CRM governance and pipeline hygiene – ensuring leadership always has an accurate picture.
- Performance Visibility & Reporting
- Define and own the KPI framework that gives complete visibility across the PS & Delivery function.
- Set and uphold reporting standards, working with Programme Directors on portfolio-level status and progress tracking.
- Lead performance reporting for strategic initiatives, including AI programmes and cross-functional workstreams.
- Governance, Process & Delivery Excellence
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, standardised processes that remove operational friction and raise the bar on delivery consistency.
- Partner with Programme Directors to ensure execution alignment and governance rigor across the portfolio.
- Own the CLM system – including contract approval workflows and internal governance cycles.
- Maintain the Delivery organisational structure, keeping it accurate and fit for purpose as the function evolves.
- Knowledge Management & Internal Communications
- Own the central knowledge repository – ensuring it is structured, current, and actively used.
- Drive the standardisation and embedding of lessons learned across project delivery.
- Lead BU Town Halls and shape the internal communications rhythm that keeps the team connected and informed.
- Commercial Support
- Bring operational leadership to RFP responses and proposal preparation, coordinating across Sales, Delivery, and SMEs to produce compelling, high-quality bid content.
- AI & Automation
- Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools for reporting automation, workflow optimisation, and data analysis – identifying opportunities to embed smarter ways of working across the function.
While this role is initially an individual contributor position, it carries a clear people leadership trajectory. As the PS function grows, you will be expected to build, lead, and develop a small operations team – setting direction, managing performance, and creating an environment where people do their best work.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior operations, programme, or delivery leadership role – ideally within a Professional Services or consulting environment.
- Strong financial acumen with direct experience of budget management, forecasting, and commercial governance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills – able to influence and advise at senior leadership level.
- A track record of designing and implementing process improvement at scale.
- Comfortable working across strategy and execution, and in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience with AI or automation tools applied to operational workflows is a strong advantage.
- People management experience, or a demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership remit.
