Sapein is recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Yateley.
Operating within a highly technical, safety-critical environment, you'll play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of advanced electronic systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer with a strong background in analogue and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and hardware development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test analogue and digital electronic circuits.
- Develop low-power hardware solutions and validate designs using simulation tools.
- Produce schematics, PCB designs (Altium or equivalent), and technical documentation.
- Support the full product lifecycle from concept through to production.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing, testing, and fault finding.
- Develop and debug embedded C software, with some exposure to C++.
- Ensure designs comply with EMC and relevant industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects.
Essential Experience
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in analogue and digital electronics design.
- PCB design experience using Altium Designer or similar.
- Embedded C programming experience.
- Knowledge of EMC principles and electronic design for compliance.
- Experience producing technical documentation.
- Background working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within defence, aerospace, marine, automotive, or other safety-critical industries.
- Knowledge of low-power electronic design.
- Exposure to C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle, from design to manufacture
