Client Overview
Our client is a hands-on multi-skilled operation with Mechanical, Electronic, Software, and Materials Science skills within their 4 walls. They are currently designing, developing and getting out to market a novel product which can be applied to Automotive, Rail, Defence, and Industries such as Apple, with great potential to compete in the Medical market too.
Job Responsibilities:
- CAD Design, Designing Jigs and Fixtures
- Working closely with Electronics Design to ensure the Mechanics complement the work beneath the hood
- Testing the product with the team and working with Prototype Engineer
Skill Required:
- A hands-on Mechanical Designer with great attention to detail
- SolidEdge user ideally, but other CAD packages can be considered (based on relevant experience)
- Ideally having come from an industry where there is direct interaction between electronics, software and mechanical
- These products are working within levels of 20 microns at times, so familiarity with these levels or similar are advantageous
Compensation & Other Benefits:
- £30.00-£35.00 per hour (Outside IR35)
- 5 Days on site but with flexible start/finish (typical day is 9am-5pm)
- 6 Month Contract with potential of permanent role once assignment is completed
