Client Overview

Our client is an innovative engineering organisation specialising in the development of advanced gas turbine technologies and complex engineering solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Engineer (Supply Chain) to support the successful delivery of critical hardware across multiple programmes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle for bespoke and commercial hardware.
  • Create and maintain project plans to ensure hardware is delivered to programme schedules.
  • Develop and manage large Bills of Materials.
  • Act as the key interface between Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Programme teams.
  • Select, onboard and manage suppliers, including performance monitoring and site visits.
  • Support cost estimation, budgeting and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage non-conformances and coordinate resolutions with engineering teams.
  • Produce and maintain product documentation, certifications and compliance records.
  • Support supplier audits and approved supplier management activities.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in Project Management, Procurement or Supply Chain within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing complex hardware delivery programmes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T principles.
  • Strong project planning and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
  • High attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, engineering materials and CAD.
  • Understanding of turbomachinery or rotating equipment.
