Sapien are looking for an Electronics Production Engineer to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the build and development of advanced electronic systems. This role would suit someone with around 3-5 years experience in electronics manufacturing, production engineering, or electronic product development who is ready to take ownership and get involved across both new product introduction and ongoing production support.
You will be working closely with design and production teams to improve manufacturing processes, support NPI, troubleshoot issues on the shop floor, and help develop test setups, jigs, and fixtures that keep production running smoothly. A strong background in PCB design is essential, along with solid experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
Key Responsibilities- Support the introduction of new electronic products into production
- Improve and refine manufacturing processes for electronic systems
- Work closely with design teams to ensure products are manufacturable
- Create build packs, work instructions, and production documentation
- Fault find and carry out root cause analysis on failed units and returns
- Support NPI, DFM, and continuous improvement activities
