We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading UK provider of industrial noise and vibration control solutions. Our projects range from small-scale installations to multi-million-pound engineering solutions, offering variety, challenge, and opportunity to make a real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing noise and vibration control products, from doors and screens to full enclosures, using CAD software.
- Producing 2D and 3D models for client approval, fabrication, and installation.
- Conducting ventilation analysis (CFD) and producing reports for project teams and clients.
- Preparing complete design packages including BOMs, specifications, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and company health & safety standards.
- Continuously improving design efficiency and product quality.
- Occasionally visiting project sites, clients, or suppliers as required (expenses covered).
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD LT (or similar).
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and CFD simulation.
- Some exposure to PDM software.
- Qualified to HND or degree level in an engineering discipline.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Conscientious, proactive, and committed to personal development and team success.
