An established engineering manufacturer is seeking a General / Production Manager to oversee daily activities, drive performance, and support ongoing projects and proposals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist organisation operating within the energy and heavy engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will bring both strong leadership capability and hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, including production, repair work, and engineering activities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality performance.
  • Implement robust processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on engineering input across production, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership skills in a site-based environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting commercial proposals or tender submissions.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding, pressure systems, or manufacturing processes.
