Sapien Engineering are seeking a capable and flexible Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client’s team based in Newhaven, East Sussex. This position would suit an engineer who enjoys a varied role, is comfortable travelling and staying away from home when required, and is equally happy working on customer sites or supporting the production and fit-out team within a factory environment. When servicing work is not scheduled, the successful candidate will support initial installations, fit-out builds, and wider production activities alongside the factory team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, fit-out, servicing, and installation of products.
  • Undertake servicing, commissioning, handovers, fault finding, and maintenance work on customer sites.
  • Support initial installations and production fit-out activities within the factory when site servicing work is not scheduled.
  • Work from mechanical and electrical drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Organise site requirements and equipment before leaving the factory to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
  • Submit detailed service and commissioning reports following customer visits.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, site protocols, and health training can be provided.
  • Experience working to RAMS and completing formal site documentation and reports.
