An advanced engineering organisation is seeking a Principal Stress Engineer to lead structural and stress analysis activities across turbomachinery and combustion hardware programmes. This senior role covers analysis from concept through production, with responsibility for technical delivery, method development, and mentoring junior engineers.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead structural, stress, vibration analysis for turbomachinery components
- Develop and deliver analysis plans aligned to programme schedules
- Produce structural reports and present findings at design reviews
- Support customer technical discussions related to stress and structures
- Mentor and guide junior stress engineers
Skill Required
- Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or similar discipline)
- Proven turbomachinery or combustion hardware stress analysis experience
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and FEA methods
