Sapien Engineering are recruiting for a Marketing Communications & Field Support Representative to join a growing Defence and Security organisation based in Sandwich. This role offers a unique blend of marketing, technical support, customer engagement, and field activities. It's an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to start a career within the Defence sector, or for someone from a technical sales, engineering, or business development background who enjoys marketing and wants a broader, more varied role. Candidates with Military, Reserve Forces, Cadet Forces, or other Defence-related experience or interests are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update the company website, social media channels, brochures, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate exhibitions, trade shows, demonstrations, and customer events.
- Support business development activities and respond to marketing enquiries.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining demonstration equipment for customer visits and events.
- Support and, with training, deliver product demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with product trials, testing, and evaluation activities.
- Manage demonstration equipment inventory and equipment loan processes.
- Prepare event documentation, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Create marketing content, case studies, training materials, and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and business development teams to promote products and support customer engagement activities.
About You
- Degree qualified in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in Defence, Security, Military Technology, or related sectors.
- Military, Reserve Forces, Cadet Forces, or similar experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident engaging with customers and presenting information.
- Comfortable working in both office and field-based environments.
- Technically minded with a willingness to learn complex products and technologies.
- Full UK Driving Licence and valid Passport.
- Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
