An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in bespoke machinery and automation solutions. This position is ideally suited to a newly qualified or early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software
- Assist in the development of bespoke automation and machinery solutions
- Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Support design reviews, testing and validation activities
- Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are fit for purpose
Skills Required
- Degree, HNC, HND or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Design Engineering
- Approximately 6-12 months post-qualification industry experience
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals
- Knowledge or exposure to drive systems, pneumatics or hydraulics is desirable
- Full UK driving licence
Compensation & Other Benefits
- Salary £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
