An established engineering organisation is seeking an experienced General Manager / Production Engineer to oversee site operations, support project delivery, and contribute to both technical and commercial activities. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and engineering expertise, ideally within industrial boilers, energy, or heavy engineering sectors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, including production, repair, and engineering activities
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across production, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure accuracy
  • Support project scoping, proposals, and resource planning
  • Manage production schedules, workflow, and quality assurance
  • Promote and maintain strong health, safety, and environmental standards

Skills Required

  • Experience in a General Manager, Production Engineer, Operations Manager, or similar role within engineering or heavy industry
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
