We’re working with an engineering company in Derby that is looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to their turbomachinery team. This role involves taking designs from early concept through to production, working on both new and existing products. You’ll be handling your own design workstreams, supporting project delivery, and helping guide more junior engineers where needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce and update turbomachinery designs
- Support projects through the full design lifecycle
- Work on several projects at the same time and keep them on track
- Make sure designs meet technical, manufacturing, and customer requirements
- Support and mentor junior engineers and assist with smaller project packages
Skills Required
- Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or similar)
- Around 6+ years’ experience in turbomachinery design
- Good CAD experience (NX would be useful but not essential)
- Comfortable communicating technical information internally and with customers
