Job Description
Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Huntingdon
Salary: £45,000 (depending on experience)
We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join an industry leading food production line company. To help maximise the performance of customers’ equipment and contribute to our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design 3D parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, create manufacturing drawing packs (BOMs, laser profiles, works orders)
- Conduct Design Risk Assessments and create 3D block layouts
- Use AutoCAD to create and modify 2D drawings
- Participate in design reviews, site visits, and customer liaison for approvals
- Work with project teams to meet design timelines and standards
- Collaborate with manufacturing and QHS to ensure designs meet quality specifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in engineering or relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D)
- Experience in design engineering within a fabrication environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and solution-focused mindset
