The Role
As the Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (QMS), lead internal audits, and work closely with key departments to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the ISO 9001 QMS
- Lead internal audits and project quality inspections
- Drive best practices in quality across the organisation
- Investigate non-conformances and complaints; lead root cause analysis
- Evaluate and monitor suppliers in line with quality standards
- Oversee compliance with legislation and support implementation of additional standards (ISO 13485, 14001, 45001)
- Report on corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Quality Management role within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across departments
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality improvement
Desirable:
- Exposure to ISO 13485, 14001, or 45001
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, COSHH, QMS internal auditing)
- Background in high-precision or multidisciplinary technology environments
