What you´ll do: SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations collaborates closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
In this role, you will join the SAP Sovereign Cloud Engineering team. You will work closely with product and program managers, developers, and architects of all SaaS Platforms, becoming a key contributor in a large organization responsible for engineering and evolving SAP Sovereign Cloud's product portfolio. You will have the opportunity to address complex challenges related to scale and security that are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud. Your engagement will be with SAP Sovereign Cloud Operations, Platform, and Application engineering teams to ensure SAP product development teams can meet their requirements backlog derived from government security control frameworks.
In the role of Senior SAP Basis Consultant, you will:
- Work on technology projects involving installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, conversion, greenfield implementation, and system integration.
- Provide BASIS support for projects involving S/4HANA.
- Offer architectural guidance on cloud migration (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Design end-to-end security for SAP on-premise and SAP Cloud applications, including two-factor authentication and single sign-on from any device.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
- Manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, and respond to project and customer needs.
- Adapt effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while working under deadlines.
- Build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuously learn about SAP products.
What you bring:
- A degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of professional experience across various implementations, upgrades, and migration projects.
- Experience working in large landscapes/environments/customers.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Basis and Security Authentication, including technical planning, installations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions, S/4HANA.
- Technical fluency in operating systems (Unix/Windows/Linux) and database administration.
- Experience with SAP HANA scale-out and standalone deployment, administration, and optimization.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience in performance tuning, user management, and system copies.
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA, OS/DB Migration, NetWeaver, or SAP HANA are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with LAMA, FRUN is an added advantage.
- Willingness to undergo governmental security clearance if required.
