YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for a Project Manager (f/m/d) within the Security & Compliance unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Technology & Deliver team as part of the SAP Government Security & Secrecy board area. In this role, you will function as a ‘servant‑leader’ for team members to remove impediments at the team‑level and in scaled agile frameworks to shield the teams from interferences. You will buffer the team against any distracting influences and help the team evolve to high‑performing, self‑organised agile teams.
- Plan and manage projects/workstreams of moderate complexity from planning to delivery.
- Create and maintain project plans, schedules, estimates, and status reports.
- Monitor progress against milestones, scope, and budget; identify risks and define mitigation actions.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and decision rounds and document outcomes.
- Provide regular, concise status updates to managers and stakeholders.
- Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and project quality.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven ability to lead successful projects and work cross‑organisationally.
- Ability to manage through ambiguities while being innovative and collaborative.
- Ability to be an active listener and employ various levels of listening as required by the needs of those you coach.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness, intercultural competencies, and ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to think strategically, delivering services to meet stakeholders’ demands on a timely basis.
- Problem‑solving, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Technology skills and the willingness to learn new topics quickly.
- Strong driver mentality: you proactively move topics forward and keep teams focused on outcomes.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
- Structured and reliable working style.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate time differences when working with internationally‑based colleagues.
- Willingness to travel (less than 10 %).
- Fluent in written and verbal English required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience with agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) required.
- Confident user of JIRA and Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner/Tasks, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Basic understanding of modern IT architectures (e.g. cloud, APIs) preferred.
- Experience managing compliance teams preferred.
