The Solution Advisor Manager leads a team of Solution Advisors (SAs) specialising in SAP Customer Experience solutions, covering the full Customer Value Journey - from pipeline generation through to adoption and consumption. The role combines hands-on deal leadership with team management, and plays a critical part in driving both LOB Net Bookings and the broader Suite-First and AI-First strategic agenda.
This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, and Solution Advisory, requiring equal fluency in people management, commercial acumen, and solution expertise.
- Business Development & Deal Support
- Lead and support the team in high-impact customer engagements across the full sales cycle, with a primary focus on the Select phase.
- Drive Suite-First and AI-First messaging in all customer interactions, positioning SAP CX as an integrated component of the SAP Business Suite.
- Oversee the team's involvement in RFPs, demos, proof-of-concept engagements, and executive workshops.
- Ensure all high-value Bills of Materials are validated against customer adoption readiness and include a technical roadmap transition.
- Actively monitor pipeline coverage and ensure SA resources are deployed against the highest-value opportunities.
- AI & Innovation Leadership
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools (e.g. Saleo or equivalent) across the team to enable personalised, LOB-specific customer storytelling.
- Track AI adoption metrics regionally and globally, identifying opportunities to close gaps and scale successes.
- Ensure the team maintains current knowledge of SAP AI capabilities, product roadmap, and competitive positioning.
- Adoption & Consumption Governance
- Implement a governance model for deal reviews that prioritises clean core principles and sustainable consumption.
- Ensure effective pre-sales to post-sales handover, with quality transition documentation for CSM and implementation teams.
- Proactively review at-risk accounts with high unconsumed ACV in collaboration with CSM and Services leadership.
- Resource & Operations Management
- Manage SA resource allocation across all CVJ stages using Melody and associated reporting tools, balancing Select-phase priorities with demand generation and adoption support.
- Monitor team capacity, utilisation, and deal investment costs, maintaining a healthy balance across the pipeline lifecycle.
- Contribute to regional QBR processes with data-driven insights from Melody Intelligence reporting.
- Build and execute personal development plans for all team members, covering both hard (solution/domain) and soft (communication, storytelling, value engineering) skills.
- Act as a mentor and coach, including participation in formal mentoring programmes (e.g. SAP Academy for Customer Success).
- Represent the team in regional leadership forums, promoting best practices and contributing assets to the EMEA LOB Hub and Global Communities of Practice.
- Foster a high-engagement team culture focused on growth, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Experience
- 8+ years in pre-sales, solution advisory, or customer-facing roles within enterprise software, with documented experience in a management or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrable experience with SAP CX solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Customer Data, Emarsys) or equivalent CRM/CX platforms.
- Proven track record of supporting complex, multi-solution deals and driving measurable pipeline contribution.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect solution value to business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and executive presence - comfortable at C-suite level.
- Ability to orchestrate cross-functional resources (Sales, CSM, Services, Partners) toward a shared outcome.
- Data-driven mindset: comfortable using reporting tools to steer team priorities.
- Genuine interest in AI and emerging technology, with the ability to translate technical innovation into customer-relevant narratives.
