The GSI organisation is responsible for working with SAP executives and customer executives aligned to account teams on strategic and complex Cloud, Cloud Renewal and On-Premise software deal cycles, in both a support and leadership capacity.

What you’ll do:

  • GSI members develop, mature, drive, structure, negotiate and execute deals to maximise revenue and revenue quality and revenue predictability for SAP.
  • The team ensures that these deals align to SAP’s and the customers’ long term, strategic goals by creating healthy commercial foundations for ongoing account relationships.
  • From sales/commercial strategy through execution (with a key focus on deal strategy, deal structuring, negotiation, and deal closure), GSI works directly with customers, leveraging internal and external resources to develop and manage opportunities towards a mutually agreeable outcome.
  • GSI helps to identify, create, and apply local and global best practices based on broad customer experiences and competitive insights, to continually improve deal execution.
  • In addition to primary customer-facing activities, the GSI organisation provides enablement to field sales and to sales management, by sharing those local and global best practices and other experiences to also improve deal execution.
  • GSI members act as trusted advisors to all levels of sales, including sales management, executives, and the Board, and can act as a liaison on strategic projects and deals with Board areas.
  • The GSI organisation provides feedback to help inform business rules, global commercial policy and programs based on large, complex deal experiences and is involved with various global initiatives.
  • Cross-collaboration within GSI is paramount to maximise business impact globally and regionally, and to put the holistic needs of SAP first without favour or bias to a country, market unit, region, or individual.

  • The GSI Senior Director brings expert level deal execution knowledge to account teams and customers by demonstrating best-practice sales discipline and hygiene.
  • Very advanced ability to define, formulate, set, communicate, and manage a successful deal strategy to maximise value and win-rate over the sales cycle.
  • Very advanced knowledge on SAP content to mitigate customer objections and a very advanced ability to create/apply specific commercial terms/structures when required and which are consistent with SAP’s goals and requirements.
