Specialist Advisory Teacher - Cognition and Learning (SEND)

Location: Redbridge

Contract: Full-time Long term Supply Placement

Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing

Pay: MPS6 - UPS 3 Outer London £258 - £288 (based upon experience)

SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a skilled and flexible Specialist Advisory Teacher to join a dynamic team supporting children and young people with cognition and learning needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by working collaboratively with schools, families, and professionals to promote inclusive practices and improve outcomes for learners with SEND across the London Borough of Redbridge.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist advice, guidance, and training to school staff on effective strategies for supporting pupils with cognition and learning difficulties.

  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the planning and delivery of targeted interventions.
  • Support the development of inclusive teaching approaches and ensure equitable access to the curriculum.
  • Work in partnership with families and schools to build understanding and confidence in supporting children's learning.
  • Contribute to the strategic aims and wider goals of the service.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in SEND, particularly within cognition and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across settings.
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion, equity, and collaborative practice.
