Sanza Teaching Agency are seeking a Specialist 1:1 LSA for Private Family in Chelsea.
The family is looking for a warm, skilled and reliable LSA to join their friendly staff base and provide one-to-one support for their 10-year-old daughter who has complex physical and learning needs - predominantly at her school.
Your main role will be supporting her academically throughout the day in her school - cognitively she is capable, bright, social and bubbly. She uses a wheelchair and requires support with mobility, some personal care, and access to learning. You will work closely with the SEN team and the family to ensure she has optimum access to learning and is safe, included and thriving.
The Role:
- Full-time, Mon-Fri 8am-4pm - pick up at family residence in Chelsea, driven to school by one of their Governors or parent (Kensington and Chelsea must be commutable).
- Initially from Late Feb - Mid July, potential to extend.
- 1:1 learning support throughout the school day - supporting to raise academic attainment.
- Support with mobility and safe access around school.
- Adapt activities and promote independence.
- Provide personal care (sensitive and respectful).
Ideal Candidate:
- Enthusiastic and bubbly personality.
- Experience within the UK education and training system or strong academic background.
- Strong safeguarding awareness.
- Experience with complex needs / physical disabilities or in social care.
- Confident with personal care where needed.
