About the school
Sanza are looking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and engaging Primary SEN Teacher to join an outstanding special needs school in Southwark. This thriving special school caters to children aged 4 - 16 with autism. The school will offer a comprehensive induction and inset programme for all staff, a pension scheme and a range of well-being benefits including an employee assistance programme.
About the role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD. Working within small class sizes of 6 - 8 children and 4 TA's, you will create a structured, safe and stimulating environment that supports communication, social development, and emotional regulation. You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and parents to ensure each child receives a personalised learning experience that promotes progress and independence.
You will have:
- Ideally Primary or SEN Teachers with a special education within QTS and a proven track record.
- Newly qualified teachers and teachers looking to move over from mainstream are also encouraged to apply.
- A real desire and motivation to make a difference to the lives of students.
- Basic PECS, Makaton, TEACCH and Team Teach skills although full training will be provided.
