SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, visionary and highly skilled SENDCo to join our client school community on a temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed SEND leader to join a vibrant and inclusive school, with the potential for a permanent appointment following a successful temporary period. Our client school has a diverse and well-established SEND register, and we are looking for a SENDCo who is confident and experienced in working with a wide range of needs. The successful candidate will be adept at collaborating with external agencies, families and staff, and highly confident in influencing internal policies, practice and ways of working to secure the best outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND, including pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and those on SEN Support, encompassing assessment, application, review and implementation of personalised plans.
- Identify and evaluate needs for pupils with potential SEND.
- Provide professional guidance and leadership in SEND, ensuring high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
- Act as a trusted source of expertise, research and practical guidance for all staff.
- Support the implementation of the school's Inclusion Strategy, ensuring SEND practices are robust, compliant with the SEND Code of Practice, and fit for purpose.
- Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with staff, external professionals and families, ensuring collaborative decision-making and that the child's voice is heard and represented in creative and meaningful ways.
- Lead on outstanding inclusive teaching and learning, promoting innovative approaches to assessment, planning and differentiation within fully inclusive classroom environments.
