SANZA Teaching Agency is pleased to be supporting a successful and well-structured two-form entry primary school in Redbridge in the recruitment of an experienced SENDCo for a maternity cover position starting in September 2026. This full-year opportunity would suit a knowledgeable and organised SEND professional looking to join a supportive school community with established systems, strong leadership, and a genuine commitment to inclusive practice. About the Role

As SENDCo, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school while working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive. The role also includes one day of teaching each week, providing the opportunity to remain connected to classroom practice while leading strategically across the school.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading SEND provision and ensuring effective support for pupils across the school
  • Managing EHCP processes, annual reviews, and statutory documentation
  • Supporting teachers and support staff through coaching and guidance
  • Working collaboratively with SLT to promote high-quality inclusive practice
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with current SEND frameworks and legislation

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold the NASENCo qualification or demonstrate equivalent SEND leadership experience
  • Have strong knowledge of EHCP procedures and annual review processes
  • Be highly organised, proactive, and confident in leading SEND provision
  • Be passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for all pupils
  • Be available to commit for the full academic year
