SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Haringey

A warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This long-term, full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Role Details

  • Start: Immediate
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 08:30am – 3:45pm
  • Pay: 90 – 101 per day (PAYE)
  • Contract: Term time only – Long-term

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism
  • Supporting learning both within the classroom and through targeted interventions outside the classroom
  • Assisting with pupils\\\’ emotional regulation, wellbeing, and behaviour management
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individualised learning plans

About You

  • You have solid experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism
  • You are patient, empathetic, and committed to helping young learners reach their potential
  • You are confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs in a nurturing manner
  • You can work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
