SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Haringey
A warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This long-term, full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Role Details
- Start: Immediate
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 08:30am – 3:45pm
- Pay: 90 – 101 per day (PAYE)
- Contract: Term time only – Long-term
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism
- Supporting learning both within the classroom and through targeted interventions outside the classroom
- Assisting with pupils\\\’ emotional regulation, wellbeing, and behaviour management
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individualised learning plans
About You
- You have solid experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism
- You are patient, empathetic, and committed to helping young learners reach their potential
- You are confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs in a nurturing manner
- You can work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
