Location: Camden, North London

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

An excellent primary school in Camden is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with Autism on a one-to-one basis. The pupil is bright and capable but requires support with communication, emotional regulation, transitions, and maintaining engagement throughout the school day. The school is looking for a calm, consistent, and proactive individual who can build a positive relationship and help the child thrive both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with Autism.
  • Be confident implementing strategies recommended by outside agencies.
  • Support the pupil both in class and during less structured times.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and parents.
  • Have a patient and nurturing approach.
  • Experience with Autism and communication strategies would be highly desirable.
