Join Our Team as a SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant! A popular Nursery School in Brockley is looking for a full-time SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their school from February 2026 to July 2026 to provide 1 to 1 support. As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupil's learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Role details
- Nursery School β 1:1 support
- Hours: 8.30am β 4pm
- Salary: 90 - 100 per day
- Location: Brockley, Lewisham
- Start: February 2026
Responsibilities
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child who would need support using Makaton
- Supporting the development of communication skills, including the use of visual aids, PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods
- Supporting social interaction and emotional regulation, helping the child to build positive relationships with peers and adults
- Adapting learning materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs
- Supporting the child during transitions, playtimes, and other unstructured parts of the school day
