About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Woolwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young learners with special educational needs within a thriving resource centre within a mainstream school.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children ages EYFS - Year 6 with ASD and ADHD
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Help deliver structured and sensory-based activities to engage and support the learning of students with ASD & ADHD
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the children's emotional, social, and academic development.
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs
- Strong understanding of SEN, particularly in relation to autism and early childhood development.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual student needs.
