We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher (KS2) to join our friendly, supportive team at a two-form entry primary school in Lewisham, joining a thriving multi-academy trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a small, nurturing school with a close-knit community. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position starting after Easter and running until July 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum for Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Develop engaging and differentiated learning activities that challenge and support all students in reaching their full potential.
  • Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to ensure tailored support for students, especially those with additional learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents on academic achievements and development.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition to secondary school.
  • Collaborate with the wider staff team and leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 or a desire to teach it.
  • Excellent behaviour management techniques with a good sense of humour.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within a one-form entry school environment.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • Passionate about supporting children's development both academically and socially.
