About the role

SANZA Teaching Agency is supporting a vibrant, forward-thinking primary school in St John's Wood who are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate considering a career in teaching and looking to gain valuable classroom experience before applying for a PGCE or teacher training programme. You will work across Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6), supporting class teachers, leading small group interventions and helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

The role

  • Support pupils across KS2 in 1:1 sessions and small groups
  • Assist with lesson delivery, group activities and targeted interventions
  • Help create and deliver engaging, practical lessons
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs or emotional regulation
  • Contribute to positive behaviour, classroom organisation and routines
  • Take part in school trips, clubs and wider school events
  • Full-time, term-time only, starting ASAP

The ideal candidate

  • Recent graduate in any subject (e.g., English, Psychology, Drama, Education, Sports)
  • Passionate about education and exploring a future teaching career
  • Confident, proactive and committed to supporting primary-aged pupils
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
