Midday Meals Supervisor/Lunchtime supervisor
This role of Midday Meals Supervisor/Lunchtime supervisor is to help supervise students over the lunch period at school while teachers and permanent members of staff have their own lunch breaks.
- Supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and sometimes classrooms to ensure they are safe.
- Making sure children move safely around the school (lining up, going to/from the hall or playground).
- Supervising play to prevent accidents and deal with incidents promptly.
- Helping younger children with practical tasks such as cutting up food, opening packets, or carrying trays
- Promoting positive play and socialising
