SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Hackney in their search for an enthusiastic and energetic Sports Coach to join the team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about sport, physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality PE lessons, inspiring pupils to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork while encouraging lifelong participation in physical activity.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Plan and lead a range of exciting after-school sports clubs.
- Organise and support sports days, festivals and inter-school competitions.
- Deliver targeted coaching sessions to individuals and small groups to develop sporting skills and confidence.
- Promote positive attitudes towards health, fitness and wellbeing throughout the school.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and senior leaders to enhance the school's PE provision.
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
- A recognised sports coaching qualification (Level 2 or equivalent).
- Experience coaching children, ideally within a primary school or community sports setting.
- A passion for inspiring young people through sport and physical activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities for pupils of all abilities.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to working within a school team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
