SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Finchley who are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing Early Years setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their development. The school are looking for someone with prior experience as a Teaching Assistant who can confidently support both learning and play-based activities. The successful candidate will join a welcoming Early Years team in a school that values collaboration, consistency, and a positive learning environment.

The Role

The school are seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who can support pupils across Nursery/Reception, working closely with the class teacher and wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting learning through play and structured activities
  • Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment
  • Supporting children's social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with staff to ensure consistency across the setting
  • Maintaining a positive and proactive approach in the classroom

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (essential)
  • Experience within Early Years (preferred)
  • A positive, team-player mentality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
