Salary: Paid to Scale – Up to £287 per day

About the Role

As SENDCo you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school while working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive. The role also includes one day of teaching each week, providing an opportunity to remain connected to classroom practice while leading strategically across the school.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SEND provision and ensure effective support for pupils across the school
  • Manage EHCP processes, annual reviews and statutory documentation
  • Support teachers and support staff through coaching and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with SLT to promote high-quality inclusive practice
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with current SEND frameworks and legislation

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold the NASENCo qualification or demonstrate equivalent SEND leadership experience
  • Have strong knowledge of EHCP procedures and annual review processes
  • Be highly organised, proactive and confident in leading SEND provision
  • Be passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for all pupils
  • Be available to commit for the full academic year
