SEND Teacher - Specialist Resource Provision (Mainstream Primary) in Tower Hamlets, East London.

Salary: MPS 1-6 £226-268 per day (dependent on experience)

Full-Time Academic Year starting in September 2026.

SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to partner with a highly respected primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher for an exciting opportunity. This is an excellent chance to join a well-established specialist provision within a vibrant mainstream primary school that places inclusion at the heart of everything it does. Following the continued success of the provision, the school is expanding its offer and creating a second class to meet the growing needs of pupils with complex SEND.

About the Provision

Now entering its third year, this specialist provision has flourished through close collaboration with Phoenix School and has become a valued part of the school's inclusive practice. The provision will comprise:

  • Two specialist classes with up to 10 pupils in each
  • Two SEND Teachers
  • Four experienced Teaching Assistants in each class
  • Strong leadership support and a collaborative wider school team

One class supports Year 1 pupils, while the second caters for children across Years 2-5. Although some pupils access aspects of mainstream learning, most receive their education within the provision throughout the school day.

The Role

As the SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Lead a small class of pupils with complex SEND needs
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences
  • Work closely with a skilled team of Teaching Assistants
  • Collaborate with the parallel SEND Teacher to develop curriculum and best practice
  • Support pupils' academic, communication, social and emotional development
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the provision

Why Join This School?

This is a school where inclusion is embedded in everyday practice. Staff know every child as an individual, and there is a genuine commitment across the whole school community to ensuring all pupils thrive. The leadership team is approachable, supportive and invested in staff development. This opportunity has arisen purely due to expansion, reflecting the success of the provision rather than staff turnover. Visitors regularly comment on the school's welcoming atmosphere, strong teamwork and shared sense of purpose.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings
  • Demonstrate patience, adaptability and creativity in their teaching approach
  • Have high expectations for every learner
  • Be committed to inclusive, child-centred practice
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and families
