SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term opportunity within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and making a genuine difference every day.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Support learning inside and outside the classroom.
  • Implement strategies from EHCPs where appropriate.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Experience supporting needs such as Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language or other additional needs is desirable.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about helping every child succeed.
