Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking for a rewarding, long-term role in a supportive school environment? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Barnet that is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Alternative Resource Provision (ARP) from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with autism, ADHD and other learning difficulties, helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

The Alternative Provision:

  • Supports around 12 children within the class
  • Caters for pupils with autism, ADHD and a range of other learning difficulties
  • Has a dedicated specialist SEN Teacher
  • Includes a team of 3 other experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Offers excellent facilities and resources, including its own sensory room
  • Provides a structured, nurturing and supportive environment with strong routines

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Have experience working with children with SEN, autism, ADHD or other learning difficulties
  • Be patient, proactive and adaptable
  • Be a positive and engaging team player
  • Be confident supporting pupils both individually and within a small group setting
  • Have a nurturing approach and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils
