A welcoming and supportive two-form entry primary school based in Haringey is looking to appoint an experienced KS1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative Year 1 Teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils through the important transition from Reception into KS1.
KS1 Teacher - The Role:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm
- September 2026 start
- Inner London MPS 1-6
- £206.75 - £268.21 PAYE per day
- Full class teacher responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced Primary Teacher with QTS (ECTs will not be considered)
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of the KS1 Curriculum
- Be confident delivering high-quality phonics teaching
- Create engaging, creative and differentiated lesson plans that inspire young learners
- Be passionate about supporting children's development and transition into Key Stage 1
- Have strong behaviour management and assessment skills
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Delivering structured and effective phonics sessions to support early reading and writing development
- Supporting pupils' transition from Reception into Year 1 through nurturing and structured teaching approaches
- Creating a stimulating, inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress across all core subjects
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure positive pupil outcomes
- Managing full classroom responsibilities including planning, marking, assessment and reporting
- Encouraging independence, confidence and a love of learning within the classroom
