If you enjoy teaching across different year groups and thrive in a role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity.

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide high‑quality PPA cover across the school. Starting in September 2026, this part‑time position offers three days of work each week (Wednesday to Friday) and is expected to continue for the entire academic year.

About the Role

As the school's dedicated PPA Cover HLTA, you'll teach pre‑planned lessons across a range of primary year groups, ensuring pupils continue to receive engaging, high‑quality learning while class teachers have their allocated planning and preparation time. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working with different classes while becoming a valued member of one supportive school community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering well‑prepared lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Creating a positive, purposeful learning environment
  • Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
  • Supporting pupils to remain engaged and make progress
  • Working closely with teachers and school leaders to ensure continuity across the curriculum

What We're Looking For

  • HLTA status or significant experience leading whole‑class learning within a primary school
  • Confidence teaching across a range of primary age groups
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, organised and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Why Join This School?

This friendly one‑form entry primary school has a strong reputation for its welcoming atmosphere and supportive leadership. Staff work collaboratively, new team members are made to feel at home quickly, and there is a genuine commitment to creating a positive environment for both pupils and colleagues.
