SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark to recruit an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant for a full‑time position starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and nurturing individual with Early Years training and experience to support children within a Reception class. The role will involve providing both mainstream classroom support and targeted SEN support, helping all pupils access learning and thrive within a positive and engaging environment.

The Role:

  • Support teaching and learning within a Reception class.
  • Work with children across the full ability range, including pupils with additional learning and developmental needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and small‑group activities.
  • Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
  • Assist with the preparation of engaging EYFS learning environments and resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence through play‑based learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Relevant EYFS qualification, training or substantial Early Years experience.
  • Previous experience working within a Reception or Early Years setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
