SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark to recruit an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant for a full‑time position starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and nurturing individual with Early Years training and experience to support children within a Reception class. The role will involve providing both mainstream classroom support and targeted SEN support, helping all pupils access learning and thrive within a positive and engaging environment.
The Role:
- Support teaching and learning within a Reception class.
- Work with children across the full ability range, including pupils with additional learning and developmental needs.
- Deliver targeted interventions and small‑group activities.
- Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
- Assist with the preparation of engaging EYFS learning environments and resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence through play‑based learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Relevant EYFS qualification, training or substantial Early Years experience.
- Previous experience working within a Reception or Early Years setting.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
