Role 1:Breakfast Club and After School Club Manager working from 8am - 9pm and 2.30pm - 6pm (if you're unable to commit to the morning, please still apply!) Β£17.50 per hour.
/n
Role 2: Breakfast Club and After School Club Support from 8am - 9am & 3.30am - 5.45 or 5.30pm. Β£15 per hour.
/n
Location: Rotherhithe, Southwark - nearest station: Rotherhithe, Canada Water/Surrey Quays
/n
Start Date: Tue 1 September 26 - Feb 27 (likely to extend until July 27)
/n
Contract: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
/n
Job summary: To provide day-to-day management, quality childcare provision and supervise support staff in Extended Services which includes Breakfast Club and After School Club.
/n
Breakfast Club - 8am - 9am (EYFS - Year 6)
/n
After School Club 3.30pm to 5.45pm/6pm (EYFS - Year 6)
/n
Main duties include:
/n
/n
/n
- Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
/n
- Providing comprehensive care for the children.
/n
- Providing support and supervision to playworkers and volunteers.
/n
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
/n
- Proving food and refreshment and ensuring that hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
/n
- Administering first aid where necessary.
/n
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
/n
- Holding staff meetings and conducting regular reviews and appraisal for staff.
/n
- Administration and record keeping, including staff and child records, financial records, ordering and purchasing and working within an agreed budget,
/n
- Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the community including parents/carers, children, Extended Services Manager, Headteacher and other organisations.
/n
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
/n
- Monitoring and maintain a health, safety and secure environment.
/n

Essential qualities:
/n
/n
- Experience working with 3-11 year olds
/n
- Proven leadership skills
/n
- Excellent communication skills
/n
- Competent in using IT to support play and club administration
/n
- Appropriate child protection training
/n
- Current First Aid certificate and Food Hygiene certificate
/n
- An understanding of Safeguarding
/n
