SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a welcoming, inclusive and well-led Primary School in Brent who are seeking a highly committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs.

About the Role
You will be providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ASD and behavioural needs throughout the school day. The pupil responds well to positive reinforcement, clear boundaries and routine.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consistent 1:1 support in and out of the classroom
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Using positive reinforcement strategies to encourage engagement
- Adapting learning tasks to suit individual needs
- Supporting transitions and unstructured times
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external specialists
- Recording progress and contributing to review meetings
- Ensuring the child feels safe, supported and understood
This role requires patience, emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural needs
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour strategies
- Experience in a 1:1 SEND TA or similar role
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build trust and strong relationships
- A genuine passion for SEND and inclusion
This role would suit someone with a background in SEND, education, youth work, care or behavioural support.
Pay & Progression
£100-£110 per day PAYE
Pay review at Week 12 based on performance and commitment
