A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey is looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support across Year 5 and Year 6 for the 2026/27 academic year. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for education, who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and is confident supporting them as they prepare for transition to secondary school.
The school is looking for someone who can:
- Build strong relationships
- Manage behaviour effectively

There is also an opportunity to earn overtime by covering breakfast club and afterschool club.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing in-class support across Year 5 and Year 6, working with pupils of mixed abilities
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a calm, focused and productive learning environment
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupil progress and close learning gaps
- Promoting independence, confidence and a positive attitude to learning
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience supporting pupils across KS2, ideally within upper KS2 (Year 5 or Year 6)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils
